Are you an enthusiastic motorcyclist, but don't you know how to sail and wind? This course will help you get a license to drive motorboats and scooters with unlimited engine power both inland and at sea.

How long does the course take?
We train the theory every month on the weekend. Individual dates can be arranged by phone. The theory lasts one weekend. On Saturday we will discuss the entire inland navigation, on Sunday morning we will discuss the sea navigation. You will be home for lunch. The practice on the motorboat will take one afternoon.

Are you planning to go to the sea and maybe rent a motorbike from time to time and ride around the shores to the beaches? Or do you already have your dream boat or jet ski and want to take it on vacation? This is the combination for you.
Where can you sail?
Anywhere on inland waters and at sea “around the shore”. With this combination you will be able to sail at sea during the day up to a distance of 1 nautical mile from the shore, i.e. almost two kilometers. And all over the world.
Course progress
To obtain a license for unlimited engine power, you must complete theoretical and practical training. Only after completing both parts can you apply for the final theoretical exam at the Navigation Authority.
1. Theories
Theoretical training takes place regularly on Saturdays and Sundays. We deal with the legislation that applies to inland and maritime navigation. This knowledge is a basic requirement for obtaining a license of all categories.
We offer theory courses both online and in person. Courses take place every month.
2. Practice
For this level, practical training on a motorboat is required. This usually takes place the following week on our boat on the Vltava River. We depart from our marina in Davle near Prague and the practical part takes about half a day.
3. Registration for the final exam
After completing the practical part, you can register for the final theoretical exam, which takes place at the branches of the Navigation Office in Prague, Děčín and Přerov. Registering online is very simple. You will need a digital copy of the doctor's certificate and a confirmation of completion of the practical part of the course, which you will receive by email from us. The administrative fee of CZK 500 must be paid online by credit card.
Extension courses for VMP MC
The Small Craft Skipper's license can be expanded to include many other competencies. In this case, sails. Or you can become the captain of a coastal sailing yacht and venture much further from shore.
