Inland navigation
A license for real sailors. Requires a full-day training on a sailboat at Slapy or Orlík.
This expansion will allow you to sail any sailboat on all inland waters.
We train the theory every month on the weekend. Individual dates can be arranged by phone. The theory takes us one Sunday afternoon. Practical training then takes a whole day on a sailboat. We train with our partners at the Slapy and Orlík dams.
If you have respect for the sea and do not plan to try sea yachting, this will be the license with which you will be able to sail on any sailboat. However, if the sea attracts you, but you want to start from small to larger, stop for a moment. The VMP license cannot be extended further. Even if you have all possible extensions of the VMP license, it will not be possible for you to rent a sailboat for a holiday at sea. Most rental companies require a license issued by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the so-called " big C ". Consider whether it is better to start with this license and then complete your license for inland navigation. As a sea captain, you will only need to take a differential test in the theory of inland navigation and you will receive all extensions (VMP MS) without practice
Anywhere in the world on any sailboat.
This qualification requires both theoretical and practical training.
Theoretical training takes place regularly on Saturdays and Sundays, at least once a month. We deal with the legislation that applies to inland and maritime navigation. This knowledge is a basic requirement for obtaining a license of all categories.
We offer theory courses both online and in person. Courses take place every month.
Practicing on a sailboat will take a whole day. After all, sailing is a much more complex discipline than controlling the throttle and steering wheel on a motorboat. You have to learn how to work with ropes correctly, set sails, learn to steer... There is simply more work to do on a sailboat than on a motorboat.
After completing the practical part, you can register for the final theoretical exam, which takes place at the branches of the Navigation Office in Prague, Děčín and Přerov. Registering online is very simple. You will need a digital copy of the doctor's certificate and a confirmation of completion of the practical part of the course, which you will receive by email from us. The administrative fee of CZK 500 must be paid online by credit card.
The Small Vessel Master's License can be expanded to include many other competencies.
